By default, the duration of a Powtoon slide is 10 seconds. Depending on the scene that you are creating, you may want to increase or decrease the duration of a specific slide.

In the Powtoon Studio, you need to be working in Create mode in order to change the duration of a slide:
Increasing the duration of a slide
- Open the relevant slide on the stage.
- Position the playhead on the timeline at the point where you want to add seconds. This will probably be towards the end of the slide. In the example below, the playhead is positioned at 9 seconds.

- Look for the duration controls at the end of the timeline. Click the + to increase the duration by 1-second increments from the playhead point.
Note:
If you attempt to increase the duration to more than what is possible according to your subscription plan, you will see a message prompting you to upgrade to create longer Powtoons.
Reducing the duration of a slide
- Open the relevant slide on the stage.
- Position the playhead on the timeline at the point where you want to reduce seconds. In the example below, the playhead is positioned at 4 seconds.

- Look for the duration controls at the end of the timeline. Click the-to reduce the duration by 1-second increments from the playhead point.
