How to swap a scene on a slide

If you have already added a scene to a slide, you can swap it for a different one at any time. Powtoon replaces the current scene with whichever scene you select from the scene libraries.

Before you start

Your slide must already have a scene applied before you can swap it. If you have not yet added a scene, add one first and then return to these steps.

How to swap a scene on a slide

To swap a scene, you can use either the right-click menu on the slide panel or the slide menu in Edit mode. Both paths lead to the same scene library.

1. Locate the slide whose scene you want to replace in the slide panel on the left side of Powtoon Studio.
   • ► Right-click menu: Right-click the slide thumbnail and select Swap Scene from the menu that appears.
   • ► Edit mode: If you are already working in Edit mode, click the slide menu icon on the slide and select Swap.
2. The scene library panel opens. Browse through the available scenes and click the scene you want to use.
3. The selected scene replaces the current scene on the slide immediately.

Note: Swapping a scene replaces the background scene only. Other elements you have added to the slide — such as text, characters, or props — remain in place.

What happens next

Once you swap a scene, the slide updates automatically in Powtoon Studio. You do not need to save manually — your change is preserved as you continue editing your Powtoon.
