A transition is an animation-like effect that takes place when you move from one slide to the next.
Adding a transition that suits your storyline can add special effects, interest, and excitement.
By default, Powtoon slides play in consecutive order without transitions.

Adding a transition
- In the slide panel, select the slide that you want to add a transition to.
- Click the Add transition icon
directly under the slide thumbnail.
- Scroll through the options to find the transition that you'd like for the slide. You can hover over the transitions to see a preview.
- Click the transition that you want to add to the slide. The transition is added and the transition icon change (
) indicating that a transition exists between this slide and the next.
Changing or removing a transition
- In the slide panel, select the slide with the transition that you want to edit.
- Click the transition icon
- Select a new transition or click Remove Transition.
