Designed text is a combination of an object (such as a callout or rectangle), text, and artistic elements. When you add designed text to your slide, its components are added to the timeline in exactly the right order to display and play perfectly.
Although all the components of designed text are predesigned, you can edit any or all of the components. Below are several examples of designed text:
To add designed text:
- In the Powtoon Studio, make sure that you are working in Create mode.
- Select the Text tab.
- Use the search bar or browse the libraries (Video Titles, Text Elements, Titles, Infographics, Badges) to locate what you need.
- Select the designed text that you want to add to your Powtoon. In the example below, designed text displaying a restaurant's name was added to the stage.
The designed text in this example includes 6 objects. You can identify the objects by selecting them with your mouse.
5. Optional: Select the object that you want to edit. In the example below, the image of the two forks
is selected.

6. Use the options next to the image (Swap,Flip,Color, Settings) to edit the object.

each object type (image, text, etc.).

7. Edit any additional objects in the designed text as required.
