How to rotate a text box in Powtoon Studio

You can rotate any text box in Powtoon Studio to any angle you need. This article explains how to use the rotate handle to change the orientation of a text box on the stage.

Before you start

You must have a text box already added to your slide. If you have not yet added text, click the Text option in the left panel to insert a text box onto the stage first.

How to rotate a text box

1. Click the text box on the stage to select it. A selection frame with handles will appear around the text box.
2. Locate the Rotate handle — a circular arrow icon that appears above the top edge of the selected text box.
3. Click and hold the Rotate handle, then drag in the direction you want to rotate the text box. Release the mouse when the text box is at the angle you want.

Note: As you drag the Rotate handle, the current degree of rotation is displayed on the stage so you can position the text box precisely.

What happens next

The text box stays at the angle you set. You can click elsewhere on the stage to deselect it, or continue editing the text inside it. To adjust the angle again, select the text box and use the Rotate handle as described above.
