Moving Text to the Front and to the Back

When creating your Powtoon, you may need to display text in front of or behind an object.

Moving text to the front of an object

  1. Add an object and text to the slide. In the example below, an object (ID tag) and text ('Jane Doe') have been added.

  1. Click Settings 2023-01-12_11-23-35.png above the text box and then Arrange.

  1. On the Arrange menu, click Front.

  1. Position the text box in front of the object, in the appropriate location.
    In the example below, the text box has been positioned on the ID tag.

Moving text to the back of an object

  1. Add an object and text to the slide. In the example below, an object (magnifying glass) and text ('You can magnify this text') have been added.

  1. Select the text box that you want to position behind the object.
  1. Click Settings 2023-01-12_11-23-35.png near the text box and then Arrange. In our example, 'this text' will be positioned behind the magnifying glass.

  1. On the Arrange menu, click Back.

  1. Position the text box behind the object, in the appropriate location.
    In the example below, 'this text' has been positioned behind the magnifying glass.
