You can change the color of text using any of the following methods:
Selecting a basic color
- Select the text box.
- Click Color above the text box.
- Select one of the basic colors.
The text color will be changed.
Using a hex color code
- Select the text box.
- Click Color above the text box.
- In the field beneath the basic colors, enter the 6-character hex code.
The text color will be changed.
If this is a color that you plan to use in the future, add it to My Colors by clicking+.
The new color will be available for future use.
Creating a custom color
- Select the text box.
- Click Color above the text box.
- Click the arrow to open the color picker.
- Drag the sliders to set the color that you require.
If this is a color that you plan to use in the future, add it to My Colors by clicking+.
The new color will be available for future use.
Using the color sampler
- Select the text box.
- Click Color above the text box.
- Click the color sampler. Your mouse cursor will change to an eyedropper.
- With your mouse, hover over the stage until you find the color that you want to use for the text. In the example below, the eyedropper is hovering over a yellow sun. When the color is detected, it is displayed in the color picker.
- Click the eyedropper. The color will be applied to the text in the text box.
Deleting a custom color
- Hover over the color that you want to delete until an X appears.
- Click the X. The color will be removed.
Changing the Color using Rich Text
Rich Text is the ability to change individual characters within a single text-box.
- Highlight the specific characters you want to change
- Using any of the methods mentioned above, for changing the color.
- The text you have highlighted will change the color.
