A voiceover is a recording of narration, sound, or music that can be added to your Powtoon.

Tip!
Add the voiceover to your Powtoon before creating the scenes. It is easier to synchronize the objects on the slide to the voiceover than the other way around.
- Adding music to the timeline requires a Pro+ or Agency plan
In the Powtoon Studio, you need to be working in Create mode in order to add a voiceover.

A voiceover can be added by any of the following methods:

1. You need to run Powtoon using the Chrome or Firefox browser in order to record
a voiceover.

- On the toolbar, click Sound and then Add voiceover.

- Click the microphone icon.

Note:
At this stage you may be prompted with a message from your browser notifying you that Powtoon wants to use your microphone. Click Allow to enable your microphone.
- Toggle whether the recording is for the entire Powtoon or for the current slide.

- Click Start record.
You will have a 3-second countdown followed by the word GO!

- When the symbol of the microphone is displayed, begin recording your voiceover.

- After you have finished recording, click Stop record.

- Listen to a preview of the recording by clicking the Play button.

- If you are happy with the recording, click Save and type in a name for the recording.

Note:
If you are not satisfied with the recording, click Delete and begin again.
- Click Save again.
The voiceover will be added to your Powtoon and the Sound Control panel will be displayed.
The voiceover file will also be added to My Voiceovers, your personal voiceover library.

Uploading a voiceover
- On the toolbar, click Sound and then Add voiceover.

- Depending on where the file is located, click the relevant icon.

- Locate the voiceover file and upload it to Powtoon.

File type must be MP3, AAC, or OGG
- Toggle whether the voiceover is for the entire Powtoon or for the current slide and click Use.

The voiceover will be added to your Powtoon and the Sound Control panel will be displayed.
Using professional services to record the voiceover
Instead of recording your own voice, you may decide that your Powtoon requires a professional voiceover that is produced by an experienced voice actor in a studio.
- On the toolbar, click Sound and then Add voiceover.

- Depending on your preference, select either VoiceBunny or Fiverr.
