In the Powtoon that you create, you may want to change the pose of a character in order to portray a change of emotion (for example: happy to sad) or a change in physical position (for example: standing to typing).
While Powtoon currently does not have a dedicated feature for changing a pose mid-slide, the workaround described in this article can be used to produce this effect.

- Select the character whose pose you want to change.
- On the timeline, move the playhead to where you want the pose to change.
- With the character still selected, copy the character and then paste it exactly on top of the original character using the following keyboard shortcut:
For Mac: cmd + shift + v
For PC: ctrl + shift + v
- Change the pose of the copied character.
- Set the enter effect of the 'changed pose' to No Effect.
- Select the character with the 'original pose' and change its duration so that it ends immediately before the 'changed pose.'
- Set the exit effect of the 'original pose' to No Effect.
