Commenting on a Powtoon is the fastest way to give, or receive feedback on the Powtoon you are working on. The Powtoon Commenting feature allows you to invite someone to view your Powtoon, slide by slide, and leave comments.
As the owner of a Powtoon, you can always leave a comment. You will need to Share your Powtoon with your colleagues and friends to provide them the ability to comment on your Powtoon.
Writing a Comment
- Find the slide where you want to leave a comment
- Click on the Comment symbol
In the example below, we will be leaving a comment on Slide #2
- On the right-hand side of the studio, you will see the commenting module appear.
- On the commenting module, you will be able to invite users to comment on your Powtoon, and leave your comment.
- Write your comment, and click POST.
Mentioning someone in your Comments
If you have already invited someone to edit or comment on your Powtoon, you will be able to mention them in your comment. Mentioning another user will notify them by email when the comment is posted.
- While you are writing your comment, click on the @ symbol.
- A list of all the users that have been invited to the Powtoon will appear.
- Click Post. The user you have mentioned will immediately receive an email with the details of the comment.
Before you can mention someone, the Powtoon will need to be shared with that user.
Viewing a Comment
To view your comment, make sure you have opened the comment module, by clicking on Comment symbol
- On the left hand side of the Studio, find the slide that has a comment that you want to view. The blue message box inside the slide indicated how many comments exist on the slide.
- All the comments will appear on the right side of the studio, in the commenting module.
Managing your Comments
Communicating inside the Studio has never been easier. You can quickly see comments that have been left for you, and manage the comments that you wrote.

By Default, the filter Open Comments will be shown
There are 3 filters that you can use for viewing your comments
Open Comments : This filter will show all the comments that have not been resolved.
Resolved Comments :This filter will show all comments that have been resolved.
Mentions : This filter will show all the comments where you have received a mention.
Once you have written a comment, there multiple additional actions you can take.
Resolve : This will remove the comment from the Open Comments filter, and place it in Resolved Comments filter
Edit : This will allow you to make changes to your existing comment.
Delete : This will delete, and complete
