If the enter effect is missing
If you've set your object to appear at 0 seconds, the enter effect is disabled. This happens because enter effects always start a half second before the object displays.
To fix this problem: have the object appear at the 1 second mark or later.

If you've set your object to exit right at the end of the slide, the exit effect is disabled. This happens because Powtoon is preparing for the transition effect that takes place between slides.
To fix this problem: have the object exit at least a half second before the end of the slide.
