Adding Camera effects to your Powtoon, will make your videos more engaging and compelling for your viewers. This feature will allow you to pan, and slide the camera across the screen, to give your Powtoon a dramatic flair that your audience will love.

Adding a Camera to the Slide
- Click on the Camera button
- By default, the camera will be added to the entire slide.

- Re-size the border of the camera (the purple rectangle). By making the rectangle smaller, you will make the scene focus on a smaller section of the slide. In the image below, the left hand side shows the slide as you edit, while the right hand side shows the final preview. Notice that the preview is a close-up, as the camera rectangle is focused on a small section of the slide.

Adding Movement to the Camera
Pan, Zoom-In, and Zoom-Out are some of the amazing camera techniques you accomplish by adding motion to your Powtoon.
- Click on the add animation duration button

- Another Camera Rectangle will appear. Adjust the position and size of the camera to your needs. In the example below, will will demonstrate a "zoom-out". The original camera position will be indicated by a checkered box.
Notice the 2nd camera rectangle has been increased to show the entire screen.

Timing the Movement of the Camera
Once you have added a Camera movement, you can manually adjust the speed of the camera movement on the timeline.
- On the timeline, drag the the dark purple rectangle along the timeline to the desired position. Drag the 3 vertical dots across the timeline to get your timing down as required.
In the example below, our Camera Movement will start at the beginning of the slide, and end after the 3rd second.
The entire duration of the Camera Movement will be 3 seconds.


Removing the Camera and Camera Movement
- To remove the Camera Movement, click on the button remove camera animation

- To remove the Camera Movement, click on the button remove camera

Locating the Camera on the Slide
The Camera is not represented by a clickable object on the timeline. The Camera will have a dedicated button at the top of the slide.
If your slide has a camera, you can immediately highlight the camera by clicking on the camera button. You can also click on the actual area of the camera as it appears on the slide.

Switching between Camera 1 and Camera 2
If you have set a camera movement, you may want to switch between camera 1 (the start point) and camera 2 (the end point).
When you have selected camera one, you will be able to switch to camera two, and vice versa.
When you have selected camera one, you will be able to switch to camera two, and vice versa.
