How to Share a Powtoon

In order to allow another person to collaborate with you on a Powtoon, you'll first need to share your Powtoon with them. 

There are 3 different sharing features in Powtoon.

1) Sharing to View

2) Edit

3) Comment

 

Sharing to View will allow you to send a link of your Powtoon to someone else to view. The Powtoon will open on a Powtoon Player Page. Before you can send someone to the Powtoon Player Page, you must have exported that Powtoon at least one time.

1. From the Toolbox, click on the My Powtoons tab.
2. Locate the Powtoon you would like to share, and click on the share button
   
3. Click Get link.
   
   
4. Click the Copy Link.
   
   
5. Share the copied link by sending or posting it.
   
   

Sharing to Edit lets another user edit your Powtoon. If you are sharing your Powtoon with someone that does not have a Powtoon account, they will be asked to sign up before they can edit your Powtoon.

1. From the Toolbox, click on the My Powtoons tab.
2. Locate the Powtoon you would like to share, and click on the share button
   
3. Add the email address of the person you would like to share with.
   
4. Select EDIT from the drop-down selection.
   
5. Click Invite.
   
   

Sharing to Comment lets another user edit, and comment on your Powtoon. If you are sharing your Powtoon with someone that does not have a Powtoon account, they will be asked to sign up before they can edit your Powtoon.

1. From the Toolbox, click on the My Powtoons tab.
2. Locate the Powtoon you would like to share, and click on the share button
   
3. Add the email address of the person you would like to share with.
   
4. Select Comment from the drop-down selection.
   
5. Click Invite.
   
   

If you are sharing your Powtoon with an existing Powtoon user, they will received an email invitation to  begin editing right away.

If you are sharing your Powtoon with a someone you hasn't created an account with Powtoon, they will first need to create an account before they can begin to edit your Powtoon. This can be done clicking on the "Open in Powtoon" button, on the invitation they received to edit the Powtoon
