How to upload your Powtoon to Facebook Ads Manager

If you use Facebook Ads Manager to create and manage ads, you can upload your Powtoon directly to the Ads Manager media library — no need to download an MP4 file first. Once uploaded, your Powtoon is available in any campaign you run.

Note: Before you build your Powtoon, review Facebook's video requirements to make sure your Powtoon is optimized for ads. All references to Facebook were accurate at the time of writing.

Exporting your Powtoon to Ads Manager

To upload your Powtoon directly to Facebook Ads Manager, follow these steps from inside Powtoon Studio.

1. In Powtoon Studio, click Preview & Export. Your Powtoon will begin previewing automatically.
   ► If you have already exported this Powtoon before, the button will read Publish instead.
2. Click Export (or Publish if this is a subsequent export).
3. In the Upload section, click Ads Manager.
   ► If this is the first time you are exporting to Facebook, a permissions screen will appear. Click Add Account and grant Powtoon permission to upload to your Facebook account.
4. If you have already granted permission, select the relevant Facebook Ads account from the drop-down list (if you have more than one account), then click Next.
5. Update the details of your Powtoon, then click Next.
6. Set your quality preferences, then click Upload Powtoon.

When the export process completes, a confirmation message appears on screen confirming your Powtoon has been exported. A second confirmation message appears once the upload to Facebook Ads Manager is complete. You will also receive a confirmation email at the address associated with your Powtoon account.

Accessing your Powtoon in Facebook Ads Manager

To use your uploaded Powtoon in a campaign, follow these steps inside Facebook Ads Manager.

1. Navigate to the campaign where you want to use the Powtoon.
2. In the Ad section, select Media, then click Browse Library.
3. Select your Powtoon from the library, then click Select.

Your Powtoon is now attached to the ad and ready to use in your campaign.
