Why does my exported Powtoon have an EDU watermark?

If your exported Powtoon displays an EDU watermark or a branded ending screen, this is expected behavior for the Powtoon Educational plan. These branding elements are applied automatically to all exports on this plan and cannot be removed while you remain on an Educational subscription.

What the Educational plan adds to your exports

When you export a Powtoon on an Educational plan, two branding elements are added automatically:

• Watermark — a small Powtoon logo displayed throughout the duration of the exported video.
• Outro — a branded ending screen added automatically at the end of the exported video.

Both elements are built into the Educational plan. They are not a technical error and cannot be disabled or removed on this plan.

How to remove the watermark and outro

To export your Powtoon without a watermark or branded outro, you need to upgrade to an individual paid plan. Plans that remove these branding elements include Lite, Professional, and Advanced.
